Vintage Taxco, sterling silver necklace/choker and earrings by Ana Maria Nunez de Brilanti. This solid sterling set is a rare design of hers. Each link is has a 2 scrolls, with spheres in between. (Is similar to her “Angels” designs). The clasp is a heavy duty box/ tongue clasp and appears to be able to withstand a good stepping on! It measures 15” long and the matching screw earrings measure 3/4”. Both are hallmarked, “Victoria, Mexico, Taxco, sterling, Cony 34” and an eagle hallmark. It weighs a total of 47.52 grams. Ana Maria Nunez de Brilanti established her "Plateria Victoria" workshop in 1940 in Taxco, Mexico. She designed and created jewelry from the early 1940’s until her passing in early 2000’s. Her jewelry is world know and even Eleanor Roosevelt wore one of her creations.
