my first Sony TPM-8000

This is my first Sony cassette player, the TPM-8000. The MFS series itself was aimed at children, but this model seems to be even more geared towards a younger audience, with many features removed for easier, more intuitive use.

I checked the operation by inserting batteries.
Playback is possible, but the rotation speed is slow, and the sound quality is sometimes muffled, so it needs maintenance.
I checked each button.
I was able to confirm the volume adjustment with HIGH, MIDDLE, and LOW, and the power operation with the OFF button.
However, the function of the REWIND button is unclear.

Due to the age of the equipment, and as stated in the above description, it needs maintenance to operate properly.

[Body Description]
Instead of the usual volume control knob, the play button and volume button are combined.
The button with the face icon below the speaker is the play button and volume selection button, and you can choose from three volume levels: high, medium, and low, depending on the expression of the face. You can change the volume by pressing a different button during playback.

There are no earphone jacks or power adapter jacks. It runs on two size-D batteries.
