This piece features a mother figure with three children, her mouth open in song or story. It is hand-formed from natural clay and hand-painted in traditional Jemez Pueblo colors of red, black, buff, and white. The expressive eyelashes, dotted cheeks, and warm earth tones are hallmarks of Jemez artistry.
